Pengembangan Sistem Informasi Manajemen Dosen Berbasis Web dengan Framework Laravel 8

Abstract

The research conducted at Piksi Ganesha Polytechnic aims to (1) structuring and managing the use of technology is to create accurate, transparent, and accountable information and encourage professionalism in the workplace, (2) to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of lecturers and academic staff in collecting various information, including lecturer data, formal education, teaching, research, service, online output achievements. The method used in this study is the Waterfall Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) Method ensuring that the final product meets user requirements and expected quality. And HTML and CSS as markup languages, Javascript and PHP version 7.4 as programming languages, CSS Framework as Bootstrap version 5, Javascript Framework as Laravel version 8 and MySQL as its database. The results of this study show that it is ineffective because it can result in loss or damage to data entitled Lecturer Management Information System (SIM-DOS) can minimize data loss and integrate lecturer data to facilitate monitoring and the expected results are publications in scientific journals indexed by Sinta, as well as patents in scientific journals and intellectual property rights. The conclusion of this research is that the Lecturer Management Information System Application (SIM-DOS) is a system that facilitates and helps lecturers and academic staff to collect data more quickly and efficiently. And the advice from this study is to carry out system maintenance to reduce errors during the lecturer data collection process and routinely when backing up data through the cloud system to keep it safe if the computer is damaged.
